What do the DOL processing times mean?

The DOL's processing times reflect the times it is taking the Atlanta National Processing Center to review and adjudicate PERM applications. Times may vary from those listed depending on the amount of applications filed. Processing times are a rough guide as to when you may expect a decision. When viewing the PERM Processing Times chart at https://icert.doleta.gov/, the "Priority Dates" reflect those dates on which cases now being adjudicated were filed. For example, if the first row reads December 2016, it signifies that, as of the most recent update of the DOL system, the Atlanta National Processing Center was addressing PERMS filed on or before December 2016. The DOL will not respond to inquiries made regarding a pending application until the application's priority date is at least three months prior to the posted DOL processing date.
