What’s the PED listed on my visa?

The PED listed on your visa is your Petition End Date, or the date on which the status under which you entered the United States will expire. For example, if you entered the United States on an H-1B visa, your PED reflects the date on which you will no longer be eligible to work in the United States as an H-1B visa holder. Generally, your PED will correspond to the expiration date given by USCIS in approving the nonimmigrant status.
