Anne G. Semmler was born in New Orleans, Louisiana.  She attended Davidson College and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Comparative Literature from Duke University in 1978.  She completed additional graduate coursework in Comparative Literature and Russian at UNC-Chapel Hill and Ohio State University.  She has over three years of experience in the immigration law field.  Anne is fluent in German.
