Jennifer L. Cory's immigration law practice centers on employment-based immigrant and nonimmigrant petitions. She represents employers and employees in a variety of industries including, but not limited to, engineering, financial services, information technology, medicine and academia. She has extensive experience in the preparation of treaty investor/trader visa applications, H-1B temporary worker petitions and L-1 intra-company transfer petitions as well as applications for permanent employment certification for advanced degree professionals and skilled workers and immigrant visa petitions for individuals of extraordinary ability, outstanding researchers and multinational executives and managers.  She regularly conducts I-9 internal audits and provides compliance training for employers ranging from sole proprietors to Fortune 500 companies.  Ms. Cory is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and has served as an officer in both the Central Florida and Carolinas chapters.  She is frequently invited to speak and present on employer compliance and worksite enforcement issues. 

Ms. Cory was born in Orlando, Florida. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in English and French from Hollins College in 1991 and a Juris Doctor degree from Stetson University in 1994.  She is a member of the Florida Bar and has practiced U.S. immigration and visa law since 1995.  She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and currently serves as Treasurer of the Carolinas Chapter.
