Four Garfinkel Immigration Law Firm attorneys recognized in 2022 edition of Super Lawyers

Four Garfinkel Immigration Law Firm attorneys have been recognized in the latest edition of Super Lawyers.

Co-Managing Partners Steven H. Garfinkel and Hannah F. Little were selected to the 2022 North Carolina Super Lawyers list while Partner Colleen F. Molner as well as Senior Associate Attorney Catherine Magennis both received a 2022 North Carolina Rising Star designation.

Super Lawyers selects attorneys using a multiphase process, combining peer nominations, evaluations and independent research. Lawyers eligible for the Rising Stars designation must be either 40 years old or younger or in practice for 10 years or less.

No more than 5 percent of attorneys in North Carolina are named to the Super Lawyers list while no more than 2.5 percent receive a Rising Stars designation.

Garfinkel, who founded the Firm in 1997, has been practicing U.S. Immigration Law for more than 35 years. He is a Past Chair of the Immigration Specialization Committee as well as a Past President of the Alliance of Business Immigration Lawyers.

Little was recently named the 2022 Best Lawyers® Immigration Law “Lawyer of the Year” in Charlotte, an award presented annually to the attorney who receives the highest overall feedback from peers in a specific practice area and region. She has also been recognized by Who’s Who Legal as well as the North Carolina Pro Bono Honor Society and earned a prestigious AV Preeminent Rating®.

Molner was selected as a Future Leader in Corporate Immigration in the 2021 edition of Who’s Who Legal. She has extensive experience in the preparation of complex nonimmigrant and immigrant visa petitions, including extraordinary ability petitions, multinational executive and manager petitions, H-1B petitions, E-2 treaty investor applications, L-1 blanket applications and responses to Requests for Evidence.

Magennis, meanwhile, has successfully represented a broad range of clients in naturalization and citizenship, waiver, adjustment of status (permanent residence/green cards), temporary protected status (TPS), and deferred action for childhood arrival (DACA) cases, amongst others.

Garfinkel, Little and Molner are all certified as Specialists in Immigration Law by the North Carolina State Bar, the highest level of specialization attainable in the state. In addition to Super Lawyers, Garfinkel and Little were both named to the Business North Carolina (BNC) 2022 Legal Elite list earlier this month.
