Garfinkel Immigration Managing Partner Hannah Little honored for pro bono work

Garfinkel Immigration Managing Partner Hannah Little has again been recognized for her pro bono work.

Little was named to the 2019 North Carolina Pro Bono Honor Society earlier this month. Attorneys must complete 50 or more pro bono hours in the calendar year to receive the honor.

"Pro bono lawyers are a crucial resource for those North Carolinians who cannot afford legal services," N.C. Pro Bono Resource Center Director Sylvia Novinsky said in a press release. "I am inspired by the volunteer spirit of the North Carolina bar highlighted by pro bono reporting."

Little has practiced immigration law since 2006 and is one of a limited number of attorneys certified as a Specialist in Immigration Law by the North Carolina State Bar.

She is a board member of the Charlotte Bilingual Preschool and served as the chair of the Mecklenburg County Bar's Pro Bono Legal Recruitment Committee from 2018-19. She has also previously been named a Pro Bono Guardian and Pro Bono Hero by the American Immigration Lawyers Association.

Little represents employers and employees in a variety of industries, including but not limited to, energy, manufacturing, information technology and specialty chemical and has extensive experience in the preparation of L-1 intracompany transfer petitions, H-1B specialty occupation petitions as well as other nonimmigrant work visa options.

In addition, she assists companies and individuals with applications for permanent employment certification for advanced degree professionals and skilled workers and immigrant visa petitions for individuals of extraordinary ability, outstanding researchers and multinational executives and managers.

Little was recently recognized in this year's Who's Who Legal Corporate Immigration listings and once again received an AV Preeminent Rating® in 2020.
