Associate Attorney


  • Manage client accounts and supervise legal cases, including preparing immigration petitions and applications and overseeing cases assigned to paralegals
  • Manage a high volume of cases, including initial review, evaluation and assignment of cases to team members. Prepare case work as needed
  • Ensure cases are as complete as possible, identifying uncertain or missing issues, ensuring cases are properly assembled for filing and all procedural requirements for filing cases are met
  • Draft and prepare complex cases
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of immigration law, policies and procedures
  • Adhere to the highest standards of ethics and integrity


  • Minimum 2-3 years experience as an attorney in business or family based immigration
  • J.D. from an accredited law school in the U.S.
  • Passage of the bar exam; NC bar admittance preferred
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of immigration statutes, regulations, policies and memoranda
  • Ability to clearly, respectfully and effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with both staff and clients
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work easily with a wide variety of individuals
  • Bi-lingual is a plus
