SUMMARY

The primary responsibility of the Marketing Specialist is to manage a wide range of internal and external writing requirements, including identifying and developing content for newsletters, social media and RFP responses, for the purposes of enhancing the Firm's brand and image to further develop its client base and volume of business. The Marketing Specialist should be adept at creating highly professional original content and at developing strategies and identifying specific opportunities to optimally project the Firm's brand and image in various platforms and media. The Marking Specialist will also manage the Firms social media accounts and website.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Demonstrate commitment to the mission, goals and values of Garfinkel Immigration Law Firm.

· Draft strategic content for RFPs, presentations, internal communications, brochures, social media, client newsletters and alerts, and the Firm's website. Draft original content or repurpose existing content as necessary.

· Edit attorney-authored content, coordinating and obtaining internal reviews and approvals, proofreading, and formatting content into templates.

· Develop and ensure adherence to Firm marketing and editorial guidelines to establish and maintain consistent messaging across all internal and external media and communication channels.

· Coordinate with Firm leadership and attorneys to ensure consistent and accurate messaging.

· Update and maintain the Firm's website and social media accounts with informative content, attorney bios, photos and graphics. Review and respond to comments and inquiries as required.

· Recommend and complete submissions for Firm rankings, nominations, surveys, directories and other appropriate media and publications.

· Support the Partners and COO on other strategic business or promotional initiatives as needed.

· Compile periodic reports on analytics, activities, and successes.

· Coordinate closely with the Partners and other Firm leadership, as appropriate, to manage the Firm's response to client Request for Proposal(s) to ensure that the Firm is messaging accurately and optimally to enhance its appeal and to build prospective client trust.

· Coordinate with the Managing Partners, Partners, COO and other senior leadership, as appropriate, to develop strategy and specific ideas for engaging current and potential clients through thought pieces, white papers, webinars, and other intellectual and trade forums that help enhance the Firm's reputation and image as innovative thought leaders in the field of business immigration.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Marketing, Communications, English, or related field.

· 5 years of increasingly responsible and directly related experience, preferably in a legal or professional service setting.

· Professional experience managing and using social media.

· Professional experience creating original content.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

· Excellent writing and editing skills. Demonstrated superior command of grammar, spelling and usage in a style that projects professionalism and prestige. Understanding of and experience with AP writing style.

· Ability to translate complex subject matter into accurate, concise, readable copy for a broad market.

· Highly organized and responsive to internal and external client demands and deadlines.

· Proficiency in using MS Office applications.

· Demonstrated proficiency in managing website content.

· Demonstrated proficiency in effectively managing social media platforms.

· Highly motivated self-starter who can work independently as well as a member of a team.

· Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to quickly grasp the goals, service, culture and strategy of the Firm.

· Willingness to be flexible and perform responsibilities not specifically identified in the job description and assuming new responsibilities as the Firm's needs change.
