Worksite audit preparation and compliance

Enforcement investigations, audits and actions have all increased in recent years.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) conducts audits to ensure employer I-9 records are accurate and compliant with federal immigration law.  In certain situations, employers must present additional corporate records, as well. Any employer can be subject to an I-9 audit initiated by a Notice of Inspection.

E-Verify evaluation, enrollment and registration

E-Verify is an Internet-based system operated by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in partnership with the Social Security Administration (SSA) to electronically verify employment eligibility of newly hired employees.  More than 225,000 employers, both large and small, across the United States use E-Verify to check the employment eligibility of their employees.

While participation in the program is not mandatory for some businesses, others may be required by state law or federal regulation to use E-Verify, depending on its number of employees.
