Garfinkel Immigration Law Firm Partner Colleen F. Molner has been named to the North Carolina Lawyers Weekly Legal 250 list.
The annual recognition honors 250 attorneys across North Carolina who have demonstrated sustained success by adapting to evolving client needs, legal developments, technological advancements and economic challenges, while also maintaining meaningful community engagement. Molner is one of five attorneys recognized this year in the Immigration Law category.
Molner focuses on helping healthcare organizations, physicians and other highly skilled professionals navigate complex immigration pathways. A North Carolina State Bar Board Certified Specialist in Immigration Law, she leads Garfinkel Immigration Law Firm’s Healthcare Specialty Practice Group and advises clients on immigration strategies that support workforce development, talent retention and access to care.
Molner’s practice is grounded in a practical, client-centered approach to navigating complex immigration matters. She has extensive experience advising healthcare employers and international medical graduates on J-1 waivers, Physician National Interest Waivers, Schedule A petitions, H-1B matters, and permanent residence strategies. She also counsels employers on corporate compliance matters, including the effect of mergers and acquisitions on immigrant employees, internal policy development and I-9 audits.
Beyond her immediate practice, Molner is committed to advancing the profession through leadership, education and service. She serves on the International Medical Graduates Taskforce, remains active within the American Immigration Lawyers Association and is a frequent speaker on healthcare immigration issues. She is also dedicated to pro bono advocacy and mentorship, helping support individuals and families while contributing to the development of future immigration practitioners.
In addition to being named to the North Carolina Lawyers Weekly Legal 250 list, Molner has recently been recognized by Super Lawyers, Business North Carolina Legal Elite and the North Carolina Pro Bono Honor Society. She was also named a 2025 Charlotte Business Journal 40 Under 40 recipient.
