Garfinkel Immigration Law Firm has selected the Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy (CCLA) as the recipient of its 2025 Charitable Fund.
The organization has provided pro bono services to individuals and families since 1967, working to ensure that all members of the Charlotte community are treated fairly and have access to legal representation to meet their basic human needs of safety, security and stability.
The Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy serves more than 10,000 people annually across the greater Charlotte region. Their work focuses on housing stability, health care access, veterans’ benefits, immigration and more. In addition to direct legal services, the organization is committed to “advocacy work on behalf of clients, resulting in policy changes at the local and national level that leads to positive outcomes.”
“Each year, we are honored to contribute to organizations that make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in our community,” Garfinkel Immigration Managing Partner Hannah F. Little said. “At our Firm, we believe that access to justice is a foundational right. Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy works tirelessly to ensure that all people, regardless of circumstance, have a voice and a fair chance. We’re proud to support their mission.”
Garfinkel Immigration created the Fund almost 10 years ago in commemoration of its 20th anniversary to return a portion of its profits to the community. The Fund contributes to nonprofit organizations in the Charlotte region that empower economically marginalized and vulnerable people while supporting pluralism and embracing multiculturalism.
In addition to the annual Charitable Fund, Garfinkel Immigration Law Firm offers an Employer Matching Gift Fund. This Fund was designed to encourage employees to donate to qualifying charitable organizations and matches personal individual contributions, dollar for dollar, throughout the year.
In its professional work, the Firm enables businesses to benefit from a wealth of global talent while simultaneously establishing legal immigration pathways for vibrant families who enrich American communities.
Likewise, Garfinkel Immigration Law Firm is committed to the local community as a natural extension of its efforts every day to create opportunity and dignity for people across the globe while fostering understanding and tolerance as core values.
As part of that commitment, the Firm’s attorneys are dedicated to giving back to the region through pro bono work. Demonstrating that leadership in action, Little, Partner Colleen F. Molner, Senior Counsel Catherine Magennis, and Associate Attorneys Ana Delgado Hualde and William Crotty were all recently inducted into the 2024 North Carolina Pro Bono Honor Society.
